You Be the Judge: Copyright and Fair Use in the Courts
Through analyzing three copyright infringement lawsuits, this workshop will explore how the four factors of fair use are applied. Two lawsuits represent the category of Education/Scholarship/Research, and the third lawsuit is in the Film/Audiovisual category.
This will be a discussion-based presentation where participants will be involved in:
- performing an analysis of the respective issues of each case
- weighing the case against the four fair use factors
- comparing their opinions with the court’s final ruling on each case
A workshop will be held on the Dahlonega Campus in Dunlap Hall 211A on Friday, February 8, 2019, from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.
