Smarthinking Adds Audio Support
Smarthinking, the free online tutoring service available to all UNG students, has added new subjects and audio support for English-language learners (ELL).
Smarthinking provides daily scheduled sessions with audio in the following areas:
- Conversation Practice
- Language Skills
- Academic Writing
ELL specialists will staff these scheduled sessions. Tutors without audio support can assist English-language learners in drop-in tutoring sessions.
Smarthinking has live drop-in tutoring in many subject areas. Scheduled tutoring session are available for the student’s convenience. Some subject areas are only available by scheduled appointment.
Student can also post a question for a tutor and receive a reply within 24 hours. Written content can be submitted for review.
Remember, tutors don’t do the student’s homework. They provide guidance.
How to Access Smarthinking:
- Log in to https://ung.view.usg.edu/
- Go to the course
- Select the Free Online Tutoring link on the blue navigation bar
- Select Connect to Smarthinking

Smarthinking offers free online tutoring in more than 150 subject areas. Many are available 24/7. Students access Smarthinking from inside their course in eLearning@UNG (D2L).
