Free Online Tutoring Available in eLearning@UNG (D2L)

Smarthinking’s online tutoring is available to all UNG students (online and face-to-face). Help is available in many subjects 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Students can meet with a tutor online, make an appointment, or ask a question and get a reply in about a day.

Smarthinking provides free online help for business students in a wide variety of business topics.

Online tutoring available 24/7 for the following business topics:

  • accounting (introductory accounting, intermediate accounting, and cost accounting)
  • economics (macroeconomics and microeconomics)
  • finance (introductory finance)

Online tutoring by appointment in these upper-level accounting subjects:

  • individual income tax
  • payroll
  • auditing
  • corporate tax
  • governmental/not-for-profit accounting
  • advanced accounting

How Students Access Smarthinking

Log in to eLearning@UNG (D2L) and click the “Free Online Tutoring” link in their course for which help is needed. Select Smarthinking from the drop-down menu and either start a tutoring session, schedule a session or submit a question.

Smarthinking is available from within the student’s course in eLearning@UNG (D2L).

There is no fee to use the service, but tutoring time is limited to 10 hours. Tutoring sessions last about 30 minutes. Students can contact UNG’s Online Student Success Advisors at UNGOnline@ung.edu to request additional time.

UNG Tutoring Services

Free online and in-person tutoring is also available from UNG Tutoring Services. It provides tutoring in a variety of topics including accounting and math. Visit the Tutoring Services page for details.
