  • Design (or redesign) of a project, or projects equivalent to 51 hours of student engagement in one of three High-Impact Practices (Undergraduate Research, Work-based Learning [Internships], or Capstone), or 21 service hours in Service Learning
  • Apply educational taxonomies to be intentional about student learning outcomes
  • Implementing the ideals and practices of the Association of American Colleges and Universities initiative for a 21st century education, entitled Liberal Education and America’s Promise (LEAP)
  • Articulate the qualities of the assignment or project that qualify it as a HIP

This academy is a collaborative faculty development program from the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership, the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities, and the Office of Academic Engagement.

Upon successful completion, faculty members will receive a certificate marking this significant accomplishment.
