CC: UC 246 | DC: HNS 402 | GC: Nesbitt 2214 | OC: Classroom 312/VC2

Facilitated by: Sheri Hardee, CTLL Service-Learning Faculty Fellow
As part of high-impact and engaging practices, higher education institutions are placing increased focus on undergraduate research, especially on student conference presentations and student publications.  With so many strong service-learning projects at the University of North Georgia, this is a prime area in which to strengthen our emphasis on undergraduate research.  This workshop is meant to help faculty and staff guide students engaged in service-learning in presenting on their projects and practices at conferences or writing about their work for publication.  In this workshop session, we will examine the conference process, including possible conference venues, proposal writing, and funding.  We will hear from students who have presented on their work and who can serve as guides for our students.  In addition, we will look at possible publication options for students and how to mentor students through the writing for publication process.

If you would like to attend any of the workshops listed above, please send the name of the workshop and campus on which you will attend to rsvp.ctll@ung.edu.
