The Political Science and International Affairs Department would like to welcome its six new faculty members.

Dr. Scott Meachum

 

● Dr. Scott Meachum will be teaching pre-law and global-issues classes on the Cumming campus. Dr. Meachum received his Ph.D. and master’s degrees in political science from Florida State University. He also has a law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law.

Dr. Elizabeth O’Calloghan

● Elizabeth O’Callaghan joins the department to teach “Global Issues” on the Gainesville campus. Dr. O’Callaghan is a Ph.D. candidate at Georgia State University.

● Dr. Leander Kellogg will be teaching classes for the Master of Public Administration Program and “Global Issues” on the Dahlonega campus. Dr. Kellogg received his Ph.D. degree in public affairs from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Dr. Kellogg has a master’s degree in education as well from the University of Nevada.

Dr.Eddie Mienie
  • Dr. Eddie Mienie joins us to teach African politics and security studies on the Dahlonega campus. Dr. Mienie received his Ph.D. degree in international conflict management from Kennesaw State University.
Dr. Holly Lindamond
  • Dr. Holly Lindamond will be teaching “American Government” on the Gainesville campus. Dr. Lindamood received her Ph.D. degree in political science from Georgia State University. She received a MS degree in international affairs from Georgia Tech.

 

 

  • Dr. Megan Hauser will be teaching “Global Issues”, “Introduction to Comparative”, as well as Eastern European Politics, on the Dahlonega campus. Dr. Hauser received her Ph.D. degree in political science from the University of Arizona.
