Do Not Combine D2L Course Sections Yourself

IMPORTANT! Instructors, do not combine your course sections yourself. Please submit a DETI Helpdesk Ticket and we will combine your course sections.

In the past, instructors have combined course sections in eLearning@UNG (D2L) themselves by enrolling students from one course section to another.  

This old method will cause issues during add/drop periods and the D2L Banner sync.  

If you intend to combine your sections, please let us know before classes start or before students complete activities.  

DETI asks that, in the future, instructors submit a DETI Helpdesk Ticket and have us merge your course sections in eLearning@UNG (D2L).  

When DETI merges course sections in eLearning@UNG (D2L), it keeps student enrollment in sync with Banner.

We recommend that you email the students in the unused section to let them know, as everyone will be unenrolled in the unused section after the course combine.

If you are using Inclusive Access First Day, please indicate on the ticket or email as we need to provide details of the combined sections to Barnes and Noble College, otherwise some students may not be able to access their eTextbooks.
