GALILEO Authentication Change
In June, GALILEO changed the way the University of North Georgia library users access the library’s electronic resources.
Our DETI D2L Admins changed GALILEO links in eLearning@UNG (D2L) courses to the new login authentication service. No additional login or password is needed when using GALILEO in D2L.
However, if an instructor copied old courses to a 2022 class, they may still have GALILEO content with links that need to be updated. GALILEO resources, such as databases, articles, media, or eBooks will work with the old link, but users will be asked to log in with a GALILEO password, which may not be readily known by students.
If you or your students cannot access a particular GALILEO resource, please submit a DETI Support Ticket or email deti@ung.edu.
iPad Project Proposal Deadline is August 12
If you are interested in applying for the fall 2022 semester iPad Project, please submit your application by August 12, 2022. We are particularly interested in UNG faculty with strong proposals that investigate how mobile technologies can enhance teaching and learning. If selected, your students will be loaned iPads for the duration of this study (fall 2022 semester).

Free Adobe Education Summit Sessions
Adobe Education is providing a day of advanced Creative Cloud tools training and two days of activities to enhance creativity in the classroom. The free, three-day online event is designed for educators and support staff.
Day 1: Digital Media Pre-Summit (Presented by Adobe Education Leaders)*
Day 2 – Day 3: General Education keynotes and breakout sessions with a focus on Adobe Express (formerly Adobe Spark) and other cross-curricular creation tools.
*Please note: You must have advanced knowledge of Creative Cloud tools to attend Day 1. Prior knowledge of Adobe products are not required to attend Day 2 and Day 3.
