The final grade can be released as calculated or adjusted.

What’s the difference?

Calculated Final Grade: The final grade calculated by the grade book. The instructor cannot adjust the final grade without adjusting grade item scores.

Adjusted Final Grade: The instructor can manually change the final grade calculation without affecting grade item scores.

These two grade items are always included in the default eLearning@UNG (D2L) gradebook. The instructor selects which one to use in the Grade Tool settings and then calculate (and adjust, if selected) and release through the chosen grade item.

There are a few settings to be made before releasing the final grade.
