Teaching and Facilitating an Online Course – Webinar (Online Only)

This session will review the teaching and facilitating sections of the first two modules of FLOC (Facilitating Learning Online Certificate), a self-paced certification process for online instructors. The session also includes best online teaching practices and dealing with the requirements for teaching an online course at UNG. This session is intended for instructors who are currently teaching a fully online course.

This webinar will discuss the merits and best practices of teaching a course in the hybrid (blended) modality. For current hybrid instructors or those contemplating a conversion of their current modality to hybrid.

SMARTHINKING
Smarthinking Overview Webinars
Smarthinking provides free online tutoring in more than 150 subject areas, some of which are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Smarthinking online tutoring is integrated within eLearning@UNG (D2L).
Join Smarthinking as they demonstrate tutoring options, review support materials for your Smarthinking implementation, and wrap-up with time for attendee questions.

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with information for joining the session.
RESPONDUS TRAINING
Instructor Training: LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor
This comprehensive online training is intended for instructors who plan to use LockDown Browser and/or Respondus Monitor with online exams.
The training will cover:
- How to use LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor to protect integrity and ensure student identity
- The instructor and student perspective using each application
- How to analyze proctoring results, including a feature that ranks exam sessions by risk.
- Best practices and tips for success with both applications
June 2, 3, 4, 10, 16, 18, 24, 26 and 30.

Learn to Use SoftChalk
Each live one-hour webinar highlights SoftChalk Cloud and Create tools and activities. Participants will also be given an opportunity to ask the instructor questions.
