Instructional Design: Our Instructional designers are here to help you determine the current state and needs of your learners. We aid in defining and achieving your educational goals. The process is formed by pedagogically best practices and industry tested theories of learning.
Faculty Development: DETI supports the educational mission of UNG by providing opportunities for growth and renewal for faculty in all areas. We take pride in the quality of our faculty and are committed to a focus on enhancing online teaching and student success.
DETI provides:
- training workshops, webinars, webinars, and just-in-time open clinics throughout the year to answer your online learning questions.
- a team of professional consultants are available to discuss any aspect of teaching such as designing courses, enhancing classroom techniques, and developing course materials.
- a self-paced certification process for online instructors called FLOC (Facilitating Learning Online Certificate). Learn more about FLOC (UNG login required).
Quality Assurance: UNG has adopted Quality Matters Rubric Standards, a nationally recognized review process to promote continuous improvement and ensure high-quality online courses.
The QM review is a faculty-driven, collaborative, peer review process based on a model of continuous improvement and quality design. It is centered on the student experience, and designed to provide feedback on course design, not course delivery or content.
UNG’s peer reviewers are faculty members who have been certified in the use of the QM Rubric.
