Open Educational Resources (OERs) have been around for many years. These digital versions of traditional paper textbooks are offered at a much lower cost, or even free.

There is no need to order a book and wait for delivery. The digital OER content is available to all students on the first day of class.

Content Authoring software SoftChalk (available for free to UNG instructors) provides an easy way to add interactivity to OERs.

SoftChalk is offering two webinars in October: Introduction to SoftChalk Cloud (Oct. 8 and 15) and Using SoftChalk to Incorporate OERs in Your Course.
