Welcome to the DETI Digest. We have a new name, new content, and starting with this edition, this mobile-friendly format.
The PDF version has been discontinued (back issues are archived here).
We dropped the word “monthly” from our name because the Digest is no longer a monthly publication. New content will be added throughout the month. However, we will still send a monthly email to highlight important DETI news and information.
This website has many of the same features as the PDF version (DETI Calendar, Tip of the Month, and Spotlights). As an online product, we will be offering additional features such as video and multimedia, starting in 2019.
We hope you enjoy the new format as much as we do, and look forward to new and exciting things to come in 2019.
WHAT’S NEW
DETI Calendar
The new calendar has a “quick look” feature. Mouse over an event and a pop-up window will provide more details. Click on an event and you will see all event details, plus blue buttons for adding the event to your online calendar (Google Calendar and ICAL Export for Outlook). The DETI calendar is searchable, and the view can be changed (click the “View as Month” box, top-right of calendar, to change to day or list view). The old calendar on DETI’s myUNG site is still active and has been updated with Spring 2019 workshops, webinars, and clinics.

Navigation Links
Along the top of each page you will find navigation to our sections:
Home – Clicking the Home link will return you to the home page. You can also click the words DETI Digest on the top-left of each page to bring you back home.
ONLINE EXCELLENCE – Posts about Quality Matters, Online Course Evaluations, etc.
Spotlight – Posts explaining the wide variety of faculty resources you will encounter when using eLearning@UNG (Turnitin, Smarthinking, Top Hat, Kaltura, etc.) and tips for using them.
Student Support – Information and resources that will help your students succeed.
Tips – Tip of the Month posts have an emphasis on Brightspace by D2L tools and techniques.
All Posts – Every story posted on the website, from every category, sorted by most recent on top.

Along the right side of every page you will find the new DETI Calendar (click the graphic to access the calendar), Most Recent Posts (any category), a Search box for finding information on this website, Archives of posts, by month, and Site Tags that show the topics of posts on this website. The larger the tag, the more posts there are about that topic.

We have moved much of the DETI Monthly Digest content to this website. You can still read the original DETI Monthly Digest PDFs (going back to February 2018) online.
