DETI is available to assist you with planning your courses and completing the necessary paperwork. Contact Maria Albo (maria.albo@ung.edu) with any questions about developing online programs.

1) Review Your Current AA Plan of Study (specifically area F)

2) Determine Which Courses in Area F Are Offered Online

3) You Have Two Options if All Required Courses Are NOT Currently Offered Online

– Determine which online courses your department will need to develop in order to make all required courses available online. Contact DETI to discuss developing new online courses.

– Consider revising area F to include existing online courses.

Note: If your proposed program requires a modification to the current plan of study, additional approvals will be necessary.

4) Develop a Course Rotation

Remember, all required area F courses must be offered in a two-year rotation so majors will have an opportunity to complete all prerequisites.

5) Complete the New Academic Program Approval Form

To ensure your program meets all deadlines, submit this completed form nine (9) months prior to the implementation start date. UNG offices will collaborate to ensure that your completed proposals meet requirements both internal and external to the University of North Georgia.
