Students now have two ways to receive help in a wide variety of subject areas.
UNG Tutoring Services
Tutoring Services is providing free online tutoring for enrolled UNG students.
Tutoring sessions are conducted by UNG professional and peer tutors. Tutoring Services physical offices will remain closed as staff work remotely.
Writing tutoring is available through WCOnline (on ung.edu); math, physics, chemistry, accounting, and other subjects are tutored through Microsoft Teams.

Students can also click the Free Online Tutoring link on the navigation bar in eLearning@UNG (D2L) and select UNG Virtual Tutoring from the menu.
Writing Tutoring
Upload papers and receive feedback or have a live session online via the WCOnline platform.

How Long Will Writing Center Services Be Online Only?
The Writing Center will serve students online as long as instruction remains online only.
To access online tutoring, refer to the FAQ for writing tutoring and the instructions for tutoring in accounting, math, physics & chemistry, computer science/information systems, and other subjects using Microsoft Teams.
Smarthinking
Smarthinking provides free online tutoring in more than 150 subject areas, some of which are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The service is available to all UNG students.
Students can “drop in” for live tutoring, submit questions for a response within 24 hours, schedule an appointment, and view archives of past sessions. They can also create a group and invite a tutor for assistance.
Geosciences Has Been Added to Smarthinking
Students may submit offline questions in the new Geosciences subject area. Offline questions are usually responded to within 24 hours.
To access this service, students click the Free Online Tutoring link in eLearning@UNG (D2L) and select Smarthinking from the menu.
