UNG Languages’ students at Southeastern Korean Speech Contest in Atlanta
A number of UNG students of Korean at the Department of Modern Languages, participated in the Korean Speech Quiz Contest held on March 2nd at Kennesaw State University. Congratulations to UNG winners: 1- Maria Lopez: Non-Heritage Level 1, 3rd place, 2- Carli Gastley,Non-Heritage Level 2, Honorable Mention, and 3- Anna-Kate Ivester : Non-Heritage Level 3, Honorable Mention. Congratulations to our students and Dr. Jiyoung Daniel, Professor in Korean, for her hard work to help students excel in the Korean Language.
Dr. Daniel says, “I am proud of my students who participated in the 2nd Annual Southeastern Korean Speech Contest: 3rd place in Non-Heritage Level 1 and two Honorable Mentions in Non-Heritage Levels 2 & 3. Congratulations to all contestants and my Big thanks to the UNG K-Pop Dance Team and a number of UNG students who drove all the way from Dahlonega to Kennesaw State University to participate in the Korean quiz contest.”
