UNG has been selected by the Japanese government as the recipient of the Kakehashi Project. The Kakehashi Project is an exchange program with the objective of promoting understanding of Japan in North America. The Japanese word “kakehashi” means “bridge,” which symbolizes the hope that participants will form lasting relationships with Japan and its people and serve as bridges between nations and cultures. Round trip airfare, insurance, accommodation, transportation, meals, and admission fees will be covered by the Japanese government. A group of 22 selected UNG students and 3 staff members will explore Tokyo during UNG Spring Break 2019.
