UNG Alumni receives Fulbright Scholarship to teach English abroad
The University of North Georgia (UNG) set a new record this year with eight students selected as Fulbright Scholars and two as alternates for 2017-2018, placing UNG among the top-producing institutions nationally for Fulbright Scholars.
Congratulations to the Division of Modern Languages and Cultures and to the Arabic Program, 3 of of the 8 students are Arabic Majors. We are Proud.
Congratulations to our Alumni student graduating in May 2016 for being selected as Fulbright Scholars to teach English Abroad:
1- Nicholas Allen – modern languages major in Arabic, selected to be an English teaching assistant in Senegal (finalist), 2017-2018.
2- Anita Renfroe – modern languages major in Arabic, selected to be an English teaching assistant in Malaysia (finalist), 2017-2018.
3- Noah McDaniel – modern language major in Arabic, selected to be an English teaching assistant in India (finalist), 2017-2018.
