Three from UNG selected for Japan Exchange and Teaching Program
Three graduating seniors have been selected for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, Aubrey Rost, Margaret Owens, and Katherine Wright, will teach English in Japan for 1 year.
Aubrey Rost, Japanese minor, scheduled to graduate in May 2020 with a degree in history education is one of three from UNG selected for the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program. Also, Katherine Wright, history education major and Japanese major, was elected to JET and will be teaching English in Japanese.
Margaret Owens, French minor and Major in English with a writing and publication concentration, was selected for JET as well.
Dr. Tomoe Nishio, a UNG assistant professor of Japanese who advised Rost and Wright during the application process, hopes UNG’s selections shine a light on the opportunities with JET.
