Dr. Juman Al Bukhari promoted to Associate Professor, receives tenure and promotion
In recognition of her teaching, scholarship, and service, the University of North Georgia (UNG) has announced the promotion and granting of tenure to professor of Arabic, Dr. Juman Al Bukhari, faculty member in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages. Her promotion to Associate Professor will take effect at the beginning of the 2021-2022 academic year.
For tenure and promotion, faculty members are evaluated in three areas: superior teaching; professional development, scholarship and academic achievement; and outstanding service to the institution, profession, or community. Tenure-track faculty members must make strong, positive cases in the application for promotion, which requires a minimum number of years of service for each promotion level.
