Nuggets while they last

Posted by on February 23, 2013

Matt Aiken captured some great photos and wrote a very nice article, which is currently available online (  ).  I don’t know how long it will be up, but I would imagine that next week’s edition will replace it.  Matt made one little mistake about which river I started in (the Chattahoochee, not the Etowah) but that’s no big deal.  I appreciate the great article and the attention it brings to our rivers and to UNG.

the Atlanta Journal Constitution has also interviewed me and others about the project. I believe that the story is scheduled to run tomorrow, Sunday, February 24.

    Welcome home
You have first pick of dates in April Thursday morning Rotary

    Hello, Robert,

Congratulations, again, for finishing your trip. It has been a pleasure following you online. Could you let me know if you are doing any presentations in the area. I would like to check it out if you do. Maybe we could paddle sometime on an area river later when you catch up some on your work and results. I paddle the Chattahoochee a good bit, especially during the next few months leading up to the Southeasterns on the Nantahala.

Take care, and, great paddling! Eddie Allen

I would love to paddle with you. Let me know when you are going.

I am tentatively scheduled to speak in Dahlonega at Sunrise Rotary the morning of April 11.

Thanks,… I’ll keep in touch. Is there any way that I could come to the Rotary meeting? I’ll be trying to get on the water on the Hooch soon. I’ll let you know…. Take care….Eddie Allen
