Posted by on October 30, 2012

I’ve finished my dinner and paperwork for the evening, so I put on Roberta Flack singing “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”.

I enjoyed our talk and hope your having a better go today. The wind has calmed here at lock, and the sun is shining warmly. Hope to hear from you and the river soon…

It was a real treat to meet and talk with you this morning, and I am grateful to you for locking me through Jim Woodruff. You got my day off to a grand start! I hope that our paths cross again.

    Hey Dr. Fuller,

This is the park ranger you spoke with about camping info along the Chattahoochee River near Lake Seminole. I see you are still making great progress. Last we spoke you were passing under I-10 on the Apalachicola River. I will keep your number handy and check in on you from time to time as well as visit your website.

Ranell, I am deeply grateful to you, both for providing me with campground information and for proactively checking in with me. You are a credit to the Corps of Engineers. I hope that we have a chance to meet in person one day.
