The University Press is proud to be co-sponsoring The Poetry Roadshow!


Featured poets reading their original works are:

Ron Self

Ron is a lawyer-musician from Columbus, GA who teaches part-time at Columbus State University. His poetry has been published in Atlanta Review, The English Journal, Cortland Review as well as many other places.

Tonette Long

Tonette, a retired English professor, teaches part-time at North Georgia College and State University. She was the former editor of The Reach of Song, the GPS yearly anthology. Her poems have been published in The Reach of Song and Stonepile Writers Anthology, Volumes I and II.

Janice Moore

Janice teaches English at Young Harris College. Her poetry has been published in The Georgia Review, Shenandoah, Prairie Schooner, Southern Poetry Review, and several anthologies.

There will also be an open mic for other poets to read their work so bring your original pieces along!

When? Saturday, April 14th from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m


Where? Upstairs at Starbucks on South Chestatee (south of the Smith House).  Refreshments will be provided by the University Press of North Georgia.


Why? April is National Poetry Month, so come join the celebration!
This event is free and open to the public.
