  1. New Generation of Veteran Authors: Veteran’s day is next week. What better way to honor those who’ve served than by picking up one of their books?   2. Random House, Penguin Agree to Merge: Rumors abounded last week, but now it’s official. These two powerhouses of publishing are merging under the title of “Penguin Random House,” which just doesn’t have the same playfulness of Random Penguin or Penguin House.

Published NaNoWriMo Books: Yesterday was the official start of NaNoWriMo, which means thousands of aspiring authors are now scrambling to complete their 1,667 words a day, and many will lose faith.
