The cultural impact of international exchange programs extend beyond the university classroom. Last Sunday Professor Fengshan Liu (Joel) from Liaocheng University (LU) spent time teaching Dr. BJ Robinson, the Director of the University of North Georgia Press (UNGP), and Dr. Joyce Stavick, Head of the English department, how to make authentic Chinese dumplings.
LU in China is one of the many schools overseas that our university partners with for the study abroad program. UNGP has also established a publishing agreement with the LU, allowing students from each university to visit the other’s campus to learn more about publishing, editing, and translating. Also included in the publishing agreement: UNGP will publish one issue per year of the Journal of Liaocheng University (Social Sciences/Overseas Edition), one book concerning the academic and cultural exchange between our schools, and monographs for LU scholars and professors. We would like to thank them for coordinating with us and for all their
contributions.
