Hello UNG Press community! My name is Sarah Morris and I am interning with UNG Press for fall 2020. I am a senior majoring in English, Writing and Publishing, and minoring in psychology. I am set to graduate this December and am extremely excited to join the UNG Press team, as this is my first time working under the publishing umbrella. Reading, writing, and editing are my favorite things to do. My dream is to be an editor at a publishing house, as well as write my own books. My favorite literary genre is young adult, so if I could work for a YA publisher one day, that would be surreal. I view this internship as an amazing opportunity to gain experience and learn about my ideal career field.

One of my favorite hobbies is shopping for books, whether at Books-A-Million, Barnes & Noble, or at independent bookstores. There is a peacefulness about being surrounded by books, which is my favorite feeling. I would love to have my own home library one day, but for now I am slowly working towards expanding my book collection past the two bookcases I own. Here I am pictured at my favorite independent bookstore, E. Shaver Bookseller, in Savannah, Georgia, with one of the resident cats.
Aside from the world of books, I am passionate about animals, especially cats. I guess you could say that I am a crazy cat lady, although I love dogs, too! I spend my free time with my pets, family, and friends, typically watching Netflix. I love binging a good tv series or watching a romantic comedy. Anything with cute romance, whether in literature or film, draws me in. I am a hopeless romantic of sorts. Lucky for me, I am engaged to my longtime boyfriend who is just as much of a romantic as I am.
