“The fog closed in thick around her.”
The fog closed in thick around her. She breathed in the heavy air and grimaced. She knew what needed to be done. She walked into the thick of the fog, becoming as unseen as everything else, and she hesitated for just a breath. But the moment passed, and she walked on. The poisonous air filled her lungs as she struggled to draw breath. Every part of her wanted to run away. But she knew this was the only way, and she would have her revenge.
