Students in the Mike Cottrell College of Business will be traveling to London for eight days over spring break to study culture and international commerce and business.
This study abroad program, which takes place March 9-18, 2018, is open to all students pursuing a business degree. First priority goes to senior BBA majors, and second priority goes to junior BBA majors. If seats remain after October 30, 2017, the trip will open up to underclassmen and non-business majors.
In previous years, students have visited Coca-Cola of Great Britain, Lloyds of London, Cisco Systems, Jaguar, Stonehenge, Stratford-at-Avon, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle among others. Students will also have free time for self-exploration.
Three (3) semester hours of course credit will be awarded for BUSA 4528. This is a fully online course and assignments are due throughout the full spring semester. BUSA 4528 may be used as an elective or a substitute for BUSA 4527. Credit for BUSA 2528, a one (1) semester hour course will be offered as space allows. Prerequisites for this trip are ACCT 2101, ACCT 2102, ECON 2105, ECON 2106, FINC 3440, MATH 2020, and MKTG 3700.
The total cost of the trip is $2,850 with a $200 deposit required on October 30, 2017. The first payment of $1000 is due on December 1, 2017. The final payment is due on January 10, 2018. University of North Georgia students can use their federal and state financial aid for study abroad. There are several study abroad scholarships available to students and can be found on the Education Abroad website.
