Navy SEAL Commander, author, and movie star Rorke Denver will be one of the 10 featured speakers at Leadercast Atlanta in May.
Lieutenant Commander Denver has spent 14 years on active duty, led every phase of U.S. Navy SEAL training, and has conducted special-forces missions in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, all for which he received many awards.
Commander Denver also served on Seal Team Three with “American Sniper” Chris Kyle in 2006. Denver recently wrote an article about Kyle addressing the criticism the 2015 movie “American Sniper” has received since its release in January.
While still on active duty, Denver starred as himself in “Act of Valor,” a 2012 movie that used other active duty SEALS to depict life at war in the Middle East, which generated $80 million in the box office. After filming, Denver wrote the New-York Times bestselling book “Damn Few: Making the Modern Seal Warrior,” a biographical story about war, relationships, and what it means to be a U.S. Navy Seal.
Denver graduated with honors from the United States Ranger School, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University as well as a Master’s Degree in Global Business Leadership from the University of San Diego.
The conference will be simulcast on the the University of North Georgia’s Gainseville campus at the Ed Cabell Theatre on Friday, May 8, 2015. Lunch and a few surprises will be provided.
All are welcome to attend. General Admission tickets will be sold for $59 and UNG student tickets will be sold at $29.
