Over the past two weeks, the Mike Cottrell College of Business has included two high-profile technology speakers in our classrooms.
Dr. Bryson Payne, head of the department of computer science and information systems, recently invited Jason Swenk to speak to his Web Programming class.
Jason Swenk serves as Chief Innovation Officer for Payscape Advisors and as a consultant to digital agencies. During his visit he spoke directly about interviewing for a position in technology and what it takes to be successful.
Also, Nick Kastner, adjunct instructor of marketing and the College’s marketing manager, invited Crystal Cantrell Surrency to his Principles of Marketing class. Surrency serves as Senior Strategy Manager at Razorfish, one of the world’s best and largest interactive marketing agencies. During her visit, Surrency spoke to students about digital marketing, emerging brand and technology experiences available to marketers and consumers, and shared a few case studies of Razorfish clients including Special K, Delta Airlines, and some of her experience in managing digital marketing projects for Target and Delta Faucets.
