GTA Cabaret Series

Showcasing the spectacular talent of our musical theatre students, this monthly series will bring a new themed cabaret of songs to lift your spirits, tug at your heartstrings, and comfort your soul. GTA’s Musical Theatre Program Director Rick Gomez will host live on our YouTube channel.

GTA New Play Festival

Oct 22-24, live on Zoom

A workshop of new plays by both professional playwrights and students, the GTA New Play Festival will feature two plays from established playwrights and a night of short plays from student writers. These shows will be developed over a two-week period and performed live for you on Zoom.

Monster Girls at Sunshine Doughnuts

A Frankenstein’s monster, a vampire, and a werewolf walk into a doughnut shop… well, they walk into it because they work there. Meet Elsie, Louise, and Tally– the crew behind Sunshine Doughnuts! The monsters get a little bit more than they bargained for when they agree to host an after-hours party at the shop. Sometimes it really sucks how much the past can come back to bite you. Written by Atlanta playwright Dani Herd and directed by GTA Artistic Director Jayme McGhan.

Evening of Short Plays

The final night of the GTA New Play Festival is a collection of 10-minute short plays, written and directed by GTA students. With guidance from GTA faculty and New Play Festival guest artists, student plays will be developed and presented live on Zoom.
