Three Proctored Activity Options

A metallic number 3 on a white background.
Instructors have three proctored exam choices.

UNG undergraduate online courses are required to have at least one proctored activity during the semester to verify the identity of students enrolled in the course. This proctored activity must be worth a minimum of 10 percent of the course grade.

Here are your options:

  1. On Campus: Provide a proctored exam on your home campus. There is no fee for the student.
  2. Use an Approved Testing Location: Students can register for a testing center exam on a UNG campus. Students are charged a registration fee.
  3. ProctorU Online Proctoring: Students need a laptop with webcam and microphone (sorry, no cell phones or tablets) to use this service. Instructors set up a free account with ProctorU. Students will be charged a fee for this service.

Instructors must use one (or any combination of the three) methods.

All proctored exams require the student to show a valid photo I.D.

Coming soon!

All students completing a proctored activity via Brightspace by D2L will be required to obtain a DUO passcode.

Students obtain a DUO passcode by doing the following:

  1. Open the DUO Mobile App
  2. Select dropdown arrow to obtain the 6 digit passcode
  3. Bring the passcode to the scheduled test.
