Proctored Activity Requirement

UNG undergraduate online courses are required to have at least one proctored activity during the semester to verify the identity of students enrolled in the course. This proctored activity must be worth a minimum of 10% of the course grade. It is strongly recommended that the proctored activity be administered online in eLearning@UNG (D2L).

Step 1 – Provide students detailed information in your eLearning class (syllabus, announcement, calendar, email). Please do not require that all of your online students attend in person on a specific campus.

Step 2 – Remind your students they must present a photo I.D. as validation when they take your activity.

There are other options for the proctored activity in addition to an exam or mid-term. You may use UNG’s web conferencing/virtual classroom to host and support your students. Blackboard Collaborate is much like Skype. It is built directly into your online course and is accessible 24/7. Blackboard Collaborate or a virtual meeting can accommodate webcams to allow you to verify the identity of your online student.
