OER Academy: Student Success Through OER
Faculty and teaching staff are invited to participate in a three-workshop series on how OER contributes to student success. Participants will research OER materials they might wish to adopt or adapt for a class, identify ways that OER can support student learning and success in the classroom, learn about copyright and legal issues, consider options for authoring OER, and create a plan for incorporating OER into one of their future classes. Registration for individual workshops will be offered, but participants who attend all three and turn in a plan will earn a digital badge. We hope to see you there!
Adopt and Adapt OER for the Classroom
The first workshop in the OER Academy workshop series will discuss how OER can improve the classroom experience and tie into issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success. Topics will include how to find OER and ancillary materials within a sometimes complicated OER landscape. Participants will have access to a D2L site for the series, which includes links to a variety of OER materials to adopt or adapt.
