The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation will be holding its first public workshops at the Center’s eLab this month. Both events are free to faculty, staff, students and community members.
On February 21 at 5 PM, Dr. Shane Smith will present on marketing for startups. He has spent 15 years in corporate America marketing, primarily in the professional services industries, and teaching and consulting, after receiving his PhD in marketing. His primary focus is coaching professional sales and customer satisfaction to entrepreneurs. The event is free to all attendees.
On March 7 at 5 PM, attorney Clint Crosby will discuss patents and trademarks for startups. Mr. Crosby practices on intellectual property, business litigation, and emerging and growth companies. He also acts as a counselor and external general counsel for ongoing and developing businesses. Clint assist these companies with formation, operating agreements, employment strategies, intellectual property issues and litigation management. As an attorney, who has tried cases to verdict, he is able to advise his clients on how to take real-world approaches to the issues they face.
