State Farm Day in the Mike Cottrell College of Business

State Farm will be visiting the University of North Georgia’s Dahlonega campus on Friday, October 20 from 9 AM to 2 PM to meet with students.

Their visit is a great opportunity for students to her about job opportunities, network with recruiters and complete PROS requirements. Representatives are interested in meeting students from all majors with particular interest in computer science majors and students in the Corps of Cadets.

State Farm is the leading car and home insurer in the United States and is ranked No. 33 on the Fortune 50 list with nearly 70,000 employees and 19,000 agents.

Schedule of Events:

9 AM-11 AM: Hoag ABC rooms – recruiters will be available to participate in mock interviews and to provide information about the different career paths available at State Farm

Noon-1 PM: Hoag ABC rooms – “Job Search Training” presentation and panel discussion on how to look for a job, how to apply, what recruiters look for in a cover letter and resume, etc.

1:30 PM-2 PM: Representatives will meet individually or with groups of students to answer any questions regarding State Farm

Business students should see the PROS class on eLearning or UNG Connect for details on how to set up a mock interview with State Farm and to earn credit for participating in the job search training from noon-1 PM.
