Maria Pascucci is a self-described recovering perfectionist, turned professional life coach, award-winning author, speaker, leader and change-maker. But Maria’s life wasn’t always a raving success story. In college, she graduated summa cum laude from Canisius College with two majors and two minors, while also holding two part-time jobs. After graduation she took a part-time job when she couldn’t gather the courage to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer. Feeling depressed, anxious and strained, she suffered from health issues. With her symptoms worsened by unmanaged stress, Maria realized that her life had become constantly trying to better her resume. After suffering from a panic attack, Maria decided from then on that she would stop judging herself against an imposed standard of perfection.
Eight years later, she founded CampusCalm.com, a leadership development and empowerment company that teaches resilience to rising women leaders. We are excited to welcome her as the keynote speaker at our first-ever women’s business conference, Confidence UNG, on March 31st. Maria will provide engaging workshops and a powerful keynote presentation. With a goal of healthy lives with positive strategies to rise above stress and lead with resilience, CampusCalm is “your space to embrace your perfectly imperfect self & lead!” Maria is recognized as a leading spokesperson on perfectionism as a barrier to women’s leadership and college student leadership. Maria brings real life experience and knowledge about this generation of women and the struggles they face today.
In her own words, “Perfectionism is a glorified form of self-abuse that holds women back from growing into the resilient leaders that our rapidly-changing world wants now. We take back our power when we lead by example to share our voices and help each other see that we are not alone.” Be sure to visit Maria’s website, CampusCalm.com, to learn more about her company and the many resources offered there.
