Today, students in the Mike Cottrell College of Business’ Leadership in Business course had the opportunity to get leadership advice from UNG president Dr. Bonita Jacobs. During the class period, Dr. Jacobs discussed her career and shared some leadership advice with the class.
“Two of the most important attributes of a leader are honesty and authenticity,” said Dr. Bonita Jacobs. “It’s extremely important to build trust in an organization as that leads to success.”
Also, during the class, students asked a number of questions to Dr. Jacobs regarding advice for their future and about prior decisions that she has had to make during her career.
The Spring 2014 Leadership in Business course is co-taught by Dr. Donna Mayo, dean of the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and Mr. Perry Tomlinson, Executive-in-Residence for the BB&T Center for Ethical Business Leadership.
Thank you Dr. Jacobs for your continued support of the Mike Cottrell College of Business and for all that you do for our great university.
