Disability Services

Phonic Ear hearing amplification devices are available free of charge at all regular evening and weekend performances.  Please arrive a few minutes early to make arrangements for this.

Audio description is also available free of charge with a reservation for visually impaired patrons and is preceded by a brief discussion about the play, and where possible, a walk around the set.  With a request at least two weeks in advance, we are happy to set up audio description services for the second Saturday matinee of any MainStage production.  If you would like to request, please call the Box Office and plan to arrive at the theatre by 1:30 p.m.

ADA seating is available for all performances by contacting the Box Office, 678-717-3624.

Use of Cell Phones and other Electronics

During performances, use of phones for texting or conversation, laptops and other devices that make sound or emit light is prohibited.  It is distracting to the actors and impolite to other patrons.  Please turn all electronic devices to silent or off so everyone can enjoy the performance.

Taking photographs or videotaping inside the theatre is strictly prohibited.

Late Seating

Tickets are valid until curtain time.  Late patrons will be seated at the discretion of the house manager as soon as possible, but may be seated in available seats near the aisle to avoid disturbing other patrons.  In the event of a sellout performance with a waiting list, unoccupied seats will be resold at curtain time to the waiting list.  We will make every effort possible to seat everyone who comes to the theatre, or offer seats on another night if available.

Concessions & Merchandise

GTA’s community volunteer organization, Theatre WINGS, sells sodas and cookies during all intermissions to refresh patrons and raise funds that enable GTA students to audition and attend workshops at the Southeastern Theatre Conference annually.  You will also want to check out the GTA Book Table before performances or during intermission, with special selections that celebrate the playwright and his or her work.

Children in the Theatre

We love children, we HAVE children… (and of course we have BEEN children). Still, we recognize that not all children love theatre – yet.  We discourage parents from bringing children under 5 to the theatre and ask them to respect other patrons by leaving the theatre if their children decide that it’s time to make off-script noise.  All patrons, regardless of age, must be ticketed.

Parents should also be sure to check performance ratings in making decisions about bringing children to the theatre.
