Rebecca Johnston presenting at the 2016 New Faculty Orientation

This August, Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CTLL) is planning to welcome more than 80 incoming full-time faculty to the 2017 New Faculty Orientation (NFO). This three-day event will run August 8-10, 2017, with sessions at the Dahlonega, Gainesville, and Oconee campuses. While the three-day event is geared toward the needs of full-time and tenure-track faculty, all incoming faculty are welcome to attend.  Highlights will include a promotion and tenure overview, networking opportunities with peers and leadership, workshops regarding support services and faculty resources, and a tour of the campus.

On the evening of August 17, 2017, CTLL will host an NFO designed for part-time faculty from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We’re expecting more than 50 attendees at the Cumming, Dahlonega, Gainesville, and Oconee campuses.

The Part-Time New Faculty Orientation will feature an overview of teaching resources and responsibilities, information on student records, and student accommodations.  A light dinner will be served at this event.
